Hello Folks! Benjamin checking in as we finalize details before the trip. It is currently 14 degrees feels like 5 degrees here in Wheaton. I am super excited about our trip and the warm weather we are chasing. I have no idea how often I will post on this blog but hopefully the kids/Ester will keep you updated as we journey. Lots and lots of things to pack/plan, made a final trip to Aldi to stock up on non-perishable items. The closest Walmart to our first stop in Terlingua TX is about 2 hours away. We plan to spend about 2 weeks there, near Big Bend National Park, then taking about 1 week to get to Palm Desert where we will connect up with my parents for a few days. I just finished changing out the locks on the RV storage and almost got frostbite working with cold metal tools. Yesterday was spent fixing my cruise control on the truck, taking the canopy off the back with help from 3 friends, and getting my windshield washer system working. Still need to pack and finish loading tomorrow plus reinstall the 5th wheel hitch, and I am sure many more things I can't think of so I am signing off!
Thanks for giving us this opportunity to 'join' you on your journey! Love reading about your thoughts and anticipation of adventure. Tomas, I hope it's much more fun than you are anticipating it will be. :) Now that the packing is finished and you're off and running, we sure hope you don't encounter any more issues that slow you down. We're looking forward to connecting in Palm Desert!!
